Along with spring flowers and balmy breezes, Books in Bloom Literary Festival is one more sure sign that a fresh new season is upon us.
This year marks the 11th anniversary of this free event, made possible by members of the Carroll and Madison Public Library Foundation and its many sponsors and supporters.
People who’ve discovered the festival know that Books in Bloom is a delightful way to find a new favorite author, hear a dynamic speaker, or meet face to face with someone whose books are already treasured. It all takes place in a festive but informal setting where you are likely to see friends and neighbors.
“We’ve been honored to use the Gardens and Conservatory of the beautiful Crescent Hotel since the festival’s beginning” says Jean Elderwind, member of the Foundation and co-chair of Books in Bloom. “The hotel staff couldn’t be more supportive. It’s an ideal location for this gem of a literary festival.”
