This year Books in Bloom is pleased to feature four authors all of whom chose to self-publish their work. Meet Zeek and three other accomplished indie writers. In a panel discussion, they will share their books and their experiences as self-published authors.
About Zeek Taylor
Zeek Taylor is a recipient of the Arkansas Arts Council Governor’s Arts Award for Lifetime Achievement. Twice he has been a featured storyteller on the “Tales from the South” radio show, and his short stories and interview were heard by 130 million listeners worldwide. A StoryCorps interview with Taylor aired on NPR’s Morning Edition, and the interview is on file in the Library of Congress. Taylor gave a TedX talk in Bentonville, and he received the 2018 Idle Class magazine’s Black Apple “Legacy Award.” Taylor, best known for his stylized watercolors, lives in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. His Out of the Delta is a collection of true stories that takes the reader on Taylor’s own journey from a Delta cotton patch, through Beale Street in Memphis, and finally to the mountain town of Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
